Will my diamonds be certified?

All of our certified diamonds are either IGI or GIA Certified. This certificate is an internationally recognised assessment of the carat weight, cut, colour and clarity of your diamond. All certification paperwork is sent to you along with your purchase for your reference.

How can I be sure the gem stones are ethically sourced?

All diamonds and gemstones are sourced only from countries that subscribe to the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS). This incentive was introduced in 2003 by the United Nations to eliminate the trade of conflict diamonds. All countries that subscribe to this process follow stringent criteria to ensure compliance to the ethical sourcing, importation and exportation of rough diamonds.

I want to design my own piece; I’m concerned I won’t be able to tell it’s right from a photo?

If you have an intricate design, or if you want to be sure it’s right before committing to purchase, we can arrange to have a wax replica of your ring sent to you for your approval prior to making the ring. This is a great way to give you peace of mind and ensure it will look exactly as you want it. Please note – this service will incur a small shipping fee.

How long will it take for my custom piece to be made?

We will liaise with you to determine all the required elements to make your perfect piece. We’ll then provide a quote and if you are happy to proceed, your piece will be made generally within 10 working days.

Forgot a birthday and need something really quick? No problem, contact us and we’ll work with our Jewellers to fast track your purchase.

How will my purchase be delivered?

For high value items, My Thing For Bling delivers quarterly to Australia. Your piece will then be forwarded to you via registered post. Insurance for delivery within Australia is recommended, but optional and incurs a minor charge. Please contact us on for further information about delivery dates and insurance costs.

For items less than AUD$800 we will courier the piece to you as soon as it is finished. This will normally take 4 – 5 working days.

I have a really low budget; can you work with what I have to spend?

Of course! You tell us what you’d like to spend, and we will seek the best value for your budget. All quotes are completely obligation free.

How do I make a purchase? There is no shopping cart on this site?

We believe jewellery is personal, and so your transaction should be also. Please email us on and we will proceed with your purchase from there. We guarantee a response within 24 hours.

How do I pay for my purchase?

We will send you an invoice via Pay Pal, however you will not ned a Pay Pal account ot make payment. You can make payment via credit card.

Will I pay duty and GST on my purchase?

The Australian Government incurs GST tax and customs duty fees for the importation of any item of jewellery valued above $1000. However, please be assured that all our quotes and online prices are inclusive of the relevant taxes and duty fees and all paperwork is completed prior to you receiving delivery of your purchase.

If my purchase is less than $1000 will I still be charged for tax and duty?

Customs duty fees and GST is calculated on the combined cost of shipping and the value of your purchase. If the combined cost is less than $1000 you will not be charged for GST or Duty Fees and this will be reflected in our quote to you.

Do you have a returns policy?

As an online retailer – we understand that it can be difficult to make an investment without actually seeing the piece you are buying. If you are not satisfied with your piece, simply email us within 14 days of receiving it, and we’ll liaise with you to arrange the return and refund (minus shipping and insurance). We’ll provide you with an Australian address to return the piece to, and we’ll take care of the rest.
